Detailed Job Description
The company, widely recognized as a leader in its
field, develops niche-functionality software solutions
that are sold to corporate, non-profit and government
entities.
The Sales/Business Manager will build, manage and motivate
an opportunity-driven public sector sales team that
will sell technology solutions to federal, state and
local governments. This sales team will comprise an
in-house telemarketing staff, as well as an external
sales force.
The position is much more than a sales management position.
The Sales/Business Manager will develop business and
competitive strategies to target the public sector
marketplace, a market in which the company has had
moderate success but believes it has much untapped
potential. The ability to articulate a strong business
value proposition to prospective customers is essential.
Candidate must have industry knowledge of the public
sector marketplace and understand how to position
technology solutions to be attractive to the public
sector marketplace.
Previous experience in direct selling of technology
solutions in the enterprise or relevant work experience
in the evangelism, architecture, design, development,
support or technical sales of enterprise business
solutions is required.
